October 2024 Update

Website Refresh

We have been spending a bit of time on the website slimming it down, so we now have less categories in the menu and where possible products are being grouped, this will be ongoing in October. There are quite a few products that will be added back during the refresh as well. New sort options have been added and we have made it easier to see if its in stock, as only items in stock have the "add to cart" button, otherwise you will see "Out of Stock" or "Preorder".

Shipping Delays due to Golden Week

October 1 is the start of China's golden week holidays. This meant there was a delay at the start of the week in orders being sent, from today its back on track with transit time of a week. Sometimes the consignment tracking details will change when the consolidated logistics provider hands over the package to Aus Post for last mile delivery. Deliveries ex Sunshine Coast will resume after Tuesday. From next Wednesday all orders will be actioned within 24 hours or an update provided.

Reminder - please use chat.

Operating hours are now 7 days a week from 8AM, any questions please use the chat facility, not email. Our previous phone number is no longer used due to the volume of SPAM calls, which have rendered email a problem as well.

Product Focus - Linton 9100

We heard from a few folk that this product did not have the frequency coverage some websites claimed. There appears to be a number of versions in the market of this different handheld including possibly one designed to get FCC approval which tops out at 480MHz. Thats not the case with our stock:

This handheld is so new it's not even featured on the Lintons website, so we are still chasing programming software etc. Given its USB C it should be easy to connect, and it does not have an external mike socket like some claim. If you need to change the language - English is menu 18.

Upcoming Events

Firstly we are sorry that we were not at Shepperton or Newcastle last month, both events we drove to but in the case of Shep got very ill driving to the event and returned to our hotel in Albury, while Newcastle were expecting bad weather not conducive to a car boot event so we headed back to QLD, apparently the forecast was wrong.

As the year ends we plan on Gold Coast and AREG getting a visit and possibly the SPARC event in Victoria. Next year we are definitely doing Ballarat (highlight of this year) and possible Werribee as well.
