We are expanding, with stores to open this year in Sydney and Perth.
With over 3000 orders shipped since we started, its time to take it to the next level with a physical store presence on the east and west coasts. As a result of this pending change we are making some changes to operations. In order to fund this expansion, we are working for an employer that does not permit phone use while on the job, and it's a conflict of interest as well, so phone contact has been disabled. Please message us via Chat and we will get back to you or call you should you wish to place a phone order.
We have also closed the ebay store, as we are seeing a bit of fraud and alleged issues from Ebay that we will take up with them via the legal system. These changes also mean limited hamfest participation, with rosters only available for a few weeks we cannot commit to long term bookings.
Autumn Sale
Given our Spring sale was so popular, Paypal suggested we do it again, so if you use Paypal and the code on the specials page you will get 20% off everything. Please note the discount is not shown on the product page and is applied to the lowest price of each item. But hurry - ends Monday 13th March.
Shipping Update
Effective today orders placed by 12 noon Queensland time will be posted within 8 business hours if stock is available. There are still a small number of delayed orders, these should be gone this weekend.
Backorders
All backorders are now targeted to be filled by April 20. Our mobile radio shipment has now been formerly declared lost and a claim made, which should settle by mid April. This has consumed considerable working capital which has impacted operations over the last 6 months. Along with expansion we will use the new income stream to future proof us as much as possible in the future. When we formed QSL comms we deliberately did not create a company, so that we are personally liable for operations as a sole trader, be it warranty, returns and refunds. Thanks for the support and patience of our customers, you have been awesome and, in most cases, made a difficult period so much easier.
Availability Update by Brand
Avair
Due to a massive increase in freight costs ex Taiwan (50%+) our current stock of Avair is a bargain compared to future stock. If you fancy a new SWR/PWR meter, duplexer/triplexer or coax switch, the Autumn Sale promo is your change to grab a great price. We may not sell these in the future despite the product quality of the brand.
Anytone
878s just arrive in country. 578s and the bluetooth mikes are three weeks away.
TYT
MD9600 DMRs now available, the analog mobiles are waiting on production go ahead, there is a PCB revision in the works I believe. Handhelds - we are supplying Retevis at present which are the same radio.
Antennas
Base and mobile shipments in progress, we are reducing the range of mobile antennas to fibreglass and flexible whip models, stainless steel loading coil models such as the SG7500/7900 are discontinued. Surmen antennas have had freight arrangements changed which may see some price increases.
Coax
Good stocks of all, including the Commscope CMT300 product which is very similar to 5DFB in terms of losses.
Connectors
Generally, very good stock, note the 5/16th adaptor is still not available despite it being a locally sourced product, we expect to see supply return late May.
